I spotted an old post from 10 years ago about trying to get healthy and doing more physical activities. Making Progress???
Seems I still have some of the same doubts and concerns about what I should and can do. The struggle is real and continual.
The interesting part is that I was waffling around about private pilates sessions 10 years ago and for the last 2 years I have been doing them. I started with 2 a week then went to 1 a week. I think the Pilates has been so great for me. But now I am thinking I need to cut back to 2 times a month as I have even less money now in retirement. I have been walking but it is so hot outside that I have a hard time. Plus I wanted to work on some strength training and a friend has now started to train others (this is the belly dancer circle of friends). I decided to quit waffling about joining a gym since my health insurance covers part of the cost through the Silver Sneakers program. I have joined Planet Fitness for a really decent rate and with the discount, it is even better. They have treadmills, cycles and ellipticals along with all the weight equipment. Now let's see how long I can last. I had one training session this week and had gone one other time. It is hard to build a new habit.
UPDATE 7/15/18: I finally dug out my weights. Probably bought during other "let's get physical" phases. Time to get stronger!
