April dancing . . . a couple of photos!!!!

The first photo is from a hafla that Dalida organized in April.  The second is the group who performed on Saturday evening at the Sahra Saeeda workshops in Philadelphia.

I have more dance travel ahead of me this year.   August will be NYC with Ranya Renee and Nany for an Om Kholtoum intensive.

Just in case you are interested in seeing a recent photo of me in a costume.  I usually don't post photos of me in a costume for various reasons (hmmm, nothing liking being a bit too chubby and old for a costume, maybe???).   Ah, but I was so happy about my performance in NYC to the Egyptian musicians (violin player was from syria) that I had to put something up  . . . particularly because I had a smile on my face.   It was the culmination of the 2 days of workshops.

I was so excited that I even got the video but I haven't watched it yet.  Someday soon, I am sure.

and if you think my hand gestures think I am going "it was this big", then you can laugh along with me about that as I sort of thing it too.
