The 11th Postcross and the last for today! I am finally caught up with scanning these. Oh, and would you believe . . . this one if from FINLAND!! The sender is a young girl who is passionate about the planet and animals. She is very worried about global warming. I hope that she can maintain that passion and go on to do something productive to assist in an area that can make an impact.

More cute stamps from Finland.

Oh, here we go with #10 . . . isn't this a cute reproduction of an old post card? It is from Hungary and the hometown of the sender . . . Pecs (the hometown that is).

and a nice stamp too!

This is the 9th Postcross postcard and it came from FINLAND!!! I've gotten several postcards and sent several to Finland. I find interesting too that such a small country has so many participants in Postcross!! The sender told me that they are on their summer vacation which they spend in their summer cottage . . . I wish I had a summer cottage!

And look at the cute stamp!

My 8th Postcross postcard is from The Netherlands. The sender lives in the town, Dordrecht, and she says it is a typical old Dutch town. I have never been to The Netherlands, so I don't know how typical . . . I guess I still need to do a grand tour of Europe!

The stamps for my 8th postcross . . .

Page 1 of the Fifi Abdo review I wrote for The Papyrus . . . . I finally got it all scanned in so I could post it. To read it just click on the image and it will get bigger, LOL!!! NOTE: it has now been published on Gilded Serpent . . . easier to read and more pix!

My 7th Postcross postcard (received from France) and I had to do a bit of translating from French! I know that I put French as one of my languages . . . because I did study it. It is good practise for me to read French after so many years. The little things are easy . . . and it isn't that many words since there isn't much space on a postcard. But darned if someone doesn't just use a word or expression that I have no idea what it means! Now where did I put my Petit LaRousse. That's a french-english dictionary I've been lugging around since my Uni days!

The stamp from my latest postcross postcard from France!

A host of hibiscus . . . . but not in my garden. These are some that are blooming over at Richland College. Big huge bush that gets lots of sun from the West and most of the day too since it's location doesn't block off too much sun. That's what I need for my hibiscus!

Blue skies for a short while . . . . off to take a walk and try for a nice photo of the hibiscus over at Richland College. It is the big red one which I think is called the Texas Star. This photo is a pink one in my back garden . . . the sole surviving plant from my hibiscus phase . . . I wish I had more sunny space for this plant as the contrast for how it performs compared to the one at Richland makes me a bit sad. But I have other success stories!
