This is the 3rd postcard that I have received in the Postcross project . . .It is from a young woman who lives in a small town in Germany. I sent off another 3 postcards myself just yesterday. I am now armed with postage and several postcards of Texas . . . so we'll see how long I can keep this up. I noticed that some people have been doing this for over a year. One of the people that I sent a postcard to hasn't registered it as having been received! I noticed that he hasn't been logged on to the website since a month before I got his address. Soooooo, now I wonder what happened to him! I wonder if he moved or just lost interest or has gone off somewhere for work . . . or . . .. I don't want to think about the other possibilities.

These are the stamps from the postcard that I received from Germany.

And just for fun . . . . another TWO-FER!!! Yes, the orange crush decided to grace me with 2 on the same day . . . and as you can see, there are more buds getting ready to burst out in bloom!!

My first Postcross postcard was received from Finland today!!! Yeah!!! This post card is of the national flower of Finland - the Kielo. It is illegal to collect it. It has an intense fragrance so it is used in perfumes. The entire plant is poisonous. This was written on the back of the card.

I joined up back in April and finally sent my first postcards in mid-May . . . you must have one received by a person you sent it too, LOL, before you will have your name put on a list to receive a postcard! It has been almost 2 weeks since my first postcard made a landing in France. So far a total of 4 have been received (and one has gone astray somewhere) which I sent. I have picked 3 more names (well, you just ask and they send you the name and address).

If anyone is interested in signing up, go to this website: http://www.postcrossing.com .

Funny thing, the woman in France that received my first postcard has emailed me a couple of times . . . she wants to practice her English! Turns out we have a few things in common too . . . one thing is that she lives in Dijon, which is where I spent 2 months in a French language program. Her English is much better than my French . . . but I should practice too . . . now where are my French books???

Oh!!!!! a TWO-FER!!!! Today I woke up and spotted 2 blooming stalks on one of my day lily plants. OK, doesn't seem like much to get excited about, but so far I seem to get one at a time on three plants so far. I think that with a bit more sun these past few days that I might get to see an explosion of day lilies!!! I just wish that they are close enough to get a few more in one photo!!

This is the third daylily to start blooming . . . and the nice orange color just doesn't show up well in the photo! It is better with the flash though as the one without the flash looked even pinkier!! If you could see this full size, you would notice an ant on that bottom petal!
