The only Peony blooms that I had this year! And for some strange reason, I only EVER seem to have 2 bloom. I have a couple more buds, but they seem to be rotting from excess water . . . LOL, which is amazing considering how sparse water has been but we have gotten some good storms lately. Just not sure what the problem really is. I would say that Texas isn't kind to peonies, but I walk over at Richland College and they have a beautiful deep pink one with profuse blooms. Darn! I think these are such nice spring flowers, but my little garden just doesn't do them justice.. 

Here is Horatio after I took him to the vet for a grooming. Basically, due to all his taggled up fur and mats, they gave him a Lion Cut. This means they shave his torso and leave the fur on his head, legs and the end of his tail. He sure looks funny! And all the other cats hissed at him for a couple of days because he smelled different. A trip to the groomer will do that!
